Santa Clarita Valley Community Center is a multi-purpose facility designed to enhance the community with a wide range of education and social services. Staff provides crisis intervention, public information, referrals at low-cost health care programs, nutrition programs, counseling and financial programs. Center staff partners with the Department of Rehabilitation, Department of Public Social Services, Family Focus Resource Center, Hillview Mental Health, and National Association on Mental Illness, Fair Housing Council, Loyola Law School, Santa Clarita Public Library and City of Santa Clarita.  The center houses the Department of Military and Veterans Affair.  For more complete information, please call the service center at (661) 254-0070.


  • Also known as the Pantry Program, provides food once a month to low-income families, individuals and seniors. Eligibility is not required to access this program. The Center accepts food donations from individuals and organizations. The Center accepts referrals from social workers, health care providers and 211. Please call the center to schedule a food appointment Monday through Friday 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.

  • Staff process utility assistance applications for help with Southern California Edison and Southern California Gas bills. Individual households are limited to a maximum $100 per household yearly. Services are provided by appointment only. Please call (661) 254-0070.

  • This program is ongoing and allows children 3 years and older to check out toys much like they would check out a book from the library.  Children are allowed to borrow one toy per visit for a one week period.  Upon returning the borrowed toy on time and in good condition, the child will receive points which can be used toward earning new toys which are then theirs to keep.

  • Offered to all residents that are interested in learning Basic English language skills on Tuesday, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 10 a.m. – 11 a.m. & 11 a.m. – 12 p.m.

  • Staff provides application assistance for residents seeking help with completing application forms for utility bill assistance, social security redetermination, and understanding the Affordable Care Act.
    Information and Referral Program (I & R) – Provides in-depth information to assist low-income individuals transitioning from the working field to retirement adjustment. Center staff maintains information about local food pantries, employment opportunities, natural disaster, nutrition programs, health and social services.

  • Staff provides case management services to anyone requesting help meeting their daily living and health care needs. Staff is a client advocate who serves as a liaison between clients, family and service providers.

  • A program designed to assist residents with basic computer skills, how to manage documents and detailed instructions on how to create, send and read e-mail.

    Four week curriculum offered Mondays:  10:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.

  • Is a program designed to assist community residents with access to the internet to check e-mails, apply for CalFresh, health care benefits, job search and housing.

    Mondays thru Thursdays: 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.

  • We focus exclusively on group fitness and believe that when people come together and sweat it out, a little magic happens.

    Low impact chair exercises on Tuesdays & Thursdays: 9:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.

  • Free weight and blood pressure screening Monday – Friday 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

  • A program focused on Medicare coverage for all. A representative will be at the center to assist the community with their Medicare coverage for California.

    By appointment on Wednesdays:  10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

  • A program designed to assist anyone requesting help with conflict resolution. (Mediations) are held on the 1st Tuesday of each month at 3:30 p.m.

  • Join us for games, such as bingo and lotería.

    Mondays thru Thursdays:  2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.

  • Learn how to crochet and knitting class beautiful scarves and hats.

    Mondays & Fridays:  10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

  • A 24-hour social service program mandated by the State of California to receive all reports about suspected abuse/neglect of an elder (65 years of age or older) or a dependent adult (18–64 years of age and physically or mentally impaired). We provide intake services to report all abuse. Should you need assistance in reporting abuse, please call our office and the APS intake specialist will assist you in the referral. Additionally, staff provides information and assistance to seniors and disabled adults in need of emergency food assistance, meal preparation and housing assistance. Staff refer seniors and caregivers to emotional and grief support groups, access to transportation programs and various legal agencies.

  • Is a nutrition assistance program to help low-income participants, homeless and families buy and eat nutritious foods every 3rd Monday of each month.

  • Please joins us for a parent to parent support group addressing issues for families of children with special needs. Parents are invited to connect and obtain resources that are available to the community.

    1st Wednesday and 3rd Tuesday of every month:  9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

  • The program is designed to provide work-based learning to youth ages 14-21 whose families are receiving public assistance or are part of the juvenile justice system.

  • The Council contracts with the City of Santa Clarita and provides counseling, advocacy, education and investigative services for rental, sales, lending (including predatory lending), and insurance redlining and appraisal discrimination.

  • Designed to teach the community how to access eBooks, materials, services and issue library cards every 2nd Wednesday of the Month 10:00 a.m to 11:00 a.m.
