The Willowbrook Senior Center serves the Willowbrook, Athens and Westmont unincorporated communities in the second Supervisorial District. Center staff network with other County departments and non-profit agencies to provide comprehensive information and referrals. The programs and services offered at the center include but not limited to: Dance classes and health screenings.



Even Me Documentary: In partnership with Empowerment Congress Senior and Health Services Committee – Seniors in 2SD will watch a documentary entitled “Even Me”, which sheds light on the overwhelming crisis of HIV/AIDS among older adults 50+. It defies the myth that HIV/AIDS is a disease for the younger and homosexual populations.

Holiday Blues: the center will be offering seniors a presentation on Holiday Blues (depression).

Hoarding: The center will be offering seniors a presentation on Hoarding.

  • Also known as the Pantry Program, provides food to low-income families, individuals and seniors. Eligibility is not required to access this program. The Center accepts food donations from individuals and organizations.  The Pantry operates on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month at 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. and the third Wednesday of each month at 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. Emergency distribution is available during regular center hours.

  • Senior Congregate Meals Program, Seniors 60 years and older are welcome to come participate in our congregate meals program. The Center offers a healthy and nutritious meal daily, call center for more information.

  • Ongoing special events are held at the Senior Center: Observance of African American History Month, “Juneteenth”, Cinco de Mayo, Willowbrook Senior Center Anniversary and Christmas Party

  • Line Dance, Quilting, Computer Literacy, Exercise, Sewing, Arts and Crafts. Game Room, Field Trips, and Fitness Room. Braille Institute Vision Program, Walking Club. Select a group and note the dates for outings below. Call the center for more information at (310) 217-5650.
