Launching of Bringing Our Loved Ones Home (BOLOH)

On February 28, 2017, the County of Los Angeles Board of Supervisors adopted a motion that tasks Workforce Development, Aging and Community Services (WDACS) with launching the Bringing Our Loved Ones Home (BOLOH). The Task Force, consisting of several County, City and community based organizations, will explore options for establishing a Countywide system and first responder training program designed to expedite the recovery time of individuals who wander from their families and caregivers, such as individuals with dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, or autism.

The well attended and highly successful inaugural meeting of the Task Force took place on April 6, 2017.  This website was designed to keep Task Force members and the general public connected to the latest developments and resources as we address the critical issue of wandering in the County of Los Angeles.
