East Los Angeles Service Center
East Los Angeles Community Service Center is a multi-purpose facility designed to enhance the community with a range of health, educational, social and recreational activities. Center staff network with other County departments and non-profit agencies to provide comprehensive information and referrals, basic form completion assistance, and translation services. The following programs and services offered at the center include but are not limited to: basic form completion, food bank, resource fairs, community forums, flu shot clinic, and pet vaccination clinic.

1ST DISTRICT IN MOTION HEALTH AND FITNESS PROGRAM
Provides an array of senior activities which include exercise classes such as Zumba, Tai Chi, chair aerobics, dance lesson and walking groups. Seniors also participate in health and nutrition information sessions that offer informative presentations on diabetes prevention, cancer awareness, HBP checks, and several other health benefits. A popular attraction of the program is field trips to local destinations.ADULT PROTECTIVE SERVICES (APS)
A 24-hour social service program mandated by the State of California to receive all reports about suspected abuse/neglect of an elder (65+) or a dependent adult (18-64 years of age and physically or mentally impaired) who are reported to be endangered by physical, sexual, or financial abuse, and caregiver neglect, or self-neglect. We provide intake services to report all abuse.
