County Passport Fair Kicks Off Summer Travel Season

With Summer just a mere month away, travel season is about to pick up! Remember, for anyone traveling outside of the U.S., a passport is required. For those without a Passport or with an expired one, it can be difficult to carve out time to visit a U.S. Post Office during the week or wait in those long lines on Saturdays. This is why WDACS partnered with the United States Postal Service and the Bureau of Consulate Affairs to bring this service to you.

On Saturday, May 18, our Centro Maravilla Service Center hosted a Passport Fair to provide an opportunity for eligible individuals to apply for a new U.S. passport or renew their expired one. For this particular Passport Fair, we had the opportunity to have the United States Postal Service on hand to take photos for those who needed them, and to process the applications right away. We also had U.S. Passport Agents available for participants to consult with and have questions answered. Over 50 community residents participated in this fair. Follow us on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram for updates on the next Passport Fair or visit our WDACS News page on our website.
