Veterans and their families have sacrificed much toward the freedom of this wonderful country. We are excited to make life just a bit better for them by providing programs and services that enhance their lives and their families’ lives. On May 8th, we had the honor of graduating 10 participants from our Veteran’s Culinary Arts Program. The program is geared towards Veterans who desire to become chefs, open their own restaurants, and/or work in the restaurant and hospitality industry. In addition to networking with businesses at the graduation, participants can now take their training to go obtain employment at restaurants or take steps toward owning their own.
The Veteran’s Culinary Arts Program is in partnership with 1st District Los Angeles County Supervisor, Hilda Solis, and will begin the next cohort on Tuesday, July 2 with the first information sessions/orientations on Thursdays June 20 and 27.
